About the Role

The Manager, Marketing is a strategic leadership role at the Fair Grounds Race Course in New Orleans, a historic entertainment venue offering thoroughbred and exotic animal races, slots, video poker, and simulcasting. The position involves developing and executing marketing strategies to promote the organization’s products and services, collaborating with sales and leadership teams, and managing marketing activities to meet organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish effective working relationships with sales and agency leadership to ensure that products and services are implemented through sales enablement and marketing demand generation programs.
  • Provide feedback into product development and service offers and participate in their development; collaborate to create, launch, and track performance of product and service offerings in the markets.
  • Develop and deliver appropriate field sales enablement tools.
  • Develop, establish, and maintain marketing strategies to meet organizational objectives.
  • Manage the marketing, advertising, and promotional activities of the organization.
  • Understand the products and services offering and approach of key competitors; communicate product and service differentiation to sales and provide input to senior leadership.
  • Conduct interviews, including win/loss and post-engagement client surveys, to identify trends and make recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Marketing or 5-7 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation.
  • Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies, or staff.
  • Ability to write and present information to management.
  • Ability to perform mathematical computations related to job duties.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret instructions and deal with multiple variables.
  • Must have supervisory responsibility.
