Key Responsibilities

  • Direct ownership of reporting and insights around top-level product KPIs
  • Oversight of multiple analysts, each responsible for reporting and insights specific to individual product areas
  • Collaborate with product and tech domain owners to develop event tracking specifications, measurement plans, and processes for understanding feature performance
  • Establish and maintain a 'center of excellence' around A/B experimentation within the product development process
  • Mentor and develop skills of early-career analysts to foster a positive and collaborative team culture
  • Collaborate with Data Product team to create tools, services, and curated datasets that enable efficient and accurate insight generation
  • Provide empirical, quantitative evidence to support product and tech leadership decisions and build robust business cases for initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or statistics-intensive field such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Computer Science (Master's preferred)
  • 6+ years of experience in applied data science and/or product analytics roles
  • Prior leadership experience as a manager, team lead, or equivalent with demonstrated ability to coordinate workflows of multiple contributors
  • Expertise with SQL and at least one language for data processing or statistical modeling (e.g., R, Python)
  • Demonstrated experience with utilizing A/B experiments to assess feature performance and guide product decisions
  • Excellent communication skills for conveying technical information and quantitative insights to leadership
  • Ability to operate effectively in a high-paced environment and evangelize new processes to stakeholders

Nice to Have

  • Experience with building and maintaining measurement plans and event tracking specifications
  • Experience in a fast-growing or highly dynamic environment
  • Knowledge of data visualization and reporting tools

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant quantitative field
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in data science or product analytics
