About the Role

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Manager, Product Management. This position is responsible for overseeing technology product strategy and management, with the goal of enabling user experiences that maximize business value. This includes direct supervision of business analysts with product responsibility, maintaining technology product development and management standards, collaborating with key stakeholders, and ensuring effective design, development, and implementation of quality software product solutions. The role also involves product lifecycle management and establishing key performance indicators to optimize business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply skills and knowledge of best practices to guide team on issues related to the design, development, and deployment of mission-critical technology products and solutions.
  • Be the bridge between business viability, customer usability, and technology feasibility to ensure product development projects meet or exceed product vision, business requirements, and end-user needs.
  • Lead others in gathering information on the competitive landscape, regulatory environment, industry trends, and technologies impacting business value, and seek opportunities for future features and products.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to a team of Product Managers and Business Analysts, set performance plans, and give honest, timely feedback.
  • Support the application development team with technical design requirements, development estimates, resource allocation, and project status updates.
  • Participate in evaluation and integration of new technologies and methods to enhance solutions and development processes.
  • Communicate comprehensive solution strategies, plans, and roadmaps.
  • Develop and implement company-wide rollout strategies, working with all departments to execute communication and change plans.
  • Champion company platforms and products, defining the 'why' and the 'what' to create a remarkable end-user experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in analysis, design, construction, and implementation of major software development and/or product management projects.
  • Three years of proven experience managing teams of Product Managers and/or Business Analysts in producing high-quality, complex software applications/products.
  • Extensive experience with product management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities in a team environment.
