The role is based in New York, with remote U.S.-based candidates considered, and involves overseeing the SEO team to meet client goals through strategic guidance and execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be accountable for the project plan and delivery of all SEO projects to agreed deadlines.
  • Have ultimate responsibility for contract execution and reconciliation.
  • Communicate account or team updates (escalations/wins) to senior team members.
  • Oversee the management and development of the SEO team.
  • Collaborate with the client services team in the follow-up and achievement of goals.
  • Help with client interactions, including audits, analysis, re-up, and QBRs.
  • Partner with other channels across the organization.
  • Be the first point of escalation for the SEO team.
  • Revamp SEO delivery templates and work to find efficiencies within daily SEO activities.
  • Stay updated on search industry trends and train junior SEO staff on trends, strategies, and best practices.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Moz, STAT, or other comparable tools).
  • 3+ years of experience integrating SEO into other marketing/advertising channels.
  • An understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, and other rich media technologies, and advanced web analytics experience.
  • Experience with keyword research/data mining tools and competitive analysis.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Microsoft SharePoint.
  • Experience contributing to and collaborating within diverse team environments.
  • Experience with project and resource management.
  • Managerial experience, including developing and mentoring a team.
  • Local SEO experience (advantageous).

Nice to Have

  • Experience with web analytics beyond basic tools.
  • Experience with SEO in a variety of industries or large-scale campaigns.

Qualifications

  • Relevant professional experience in SEO and digital marketing.
  • Experience with SEO tools and web technologies.
  • Proven managerial and team development skills.
