About the Role

The Manager of Social Media & Digital Marketing will own both the strategy and execution of the organization's digital presence, with a particular focus on executive positioning and positioning the organization as a thought leader. This role will craft tailored digital voices for senior leaders, ensuring executives are active, authentic, and influential across platforms. In addition, the Manager will develop and execute the organization's social media and digital marketing strategy, manage campaigns, and create compelling content that advances advocacy, business, and economic development priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute and adapt social media strategies and unique digital voices for organizational executives.
  • Position executives as thought leaders on business, economic, and policy issues through LinkedIn, Facebook, and other channels.
  • Provide support to leaders with guidance on tone, style, and audience engagement for leadership.
  • Build and run the organization's overall social media strategy, aligning with advocacy and communications priorities.
  • Plan and manage cross-platform content calendars.
  • Execute paid and organic campaigns to expand influence and engagement.
  • Monitor political, business, and policy trends to drive timely, high-impact engagement.
  • Write and edit social posts, op-eds, and short-form video scripts for executives and organization channels.
  • Partner with design/video teams (or vendors) to produce engaging multimedia.
  • Repurpose speeches, interviews, and research into digital-first formats.
  • Track KPIs, prepare reports, and refine strategies based on performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on digital growth.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in digital communications and/or social media management.
  • Strong writing and ghostwriting skills, with ability to capture, develop and advise on different executive voices.
  • Proven experience developing and executing social strategies for leaders or organizations.
  • Familiarity with LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and digital ad platforms, primarily Google and LinkedIn.
  • Political/policy awareness and comfort translating complex issues into accessible content.
  • Excellent judgment, discretion, and understanding of executive reputation management.
