About the Role

The Market Intelligence Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing and reporting information needed to make strategic decisions that impact PulteGroup's home building business, including land acquisition and sales execution. The role involves providing the 'voice of consumer' with sound data research on consumer preferences to inform community location and positioning strategies. This position is located onsite at the Division Office in Bridgewater Township, NJ.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather market data to provide written and verbal analysis including presentations, reports (charts/graphs) used for recommending strategy on PulteGroup's community positioning.
  • Monitor competitive activity for active and future projects.
  • Complete regular competitive market analyses to impact future and current community positioning.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of both Philadelphia and NYC housing markets to provide product type and pricing guidance for all potential land acquisitions.
  • Analyze market demographics to identify consumer group preferences and trends.
  • Conduct in-depth fieldwork to understand market dynamics, the competitive environment, consumer preferences and submarket perceptions.
  • Contribute to annual strategic planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelors degree or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years of experience in competitive assessments and/or market evaluations and/or consumer research in homebuilder or similar industry.
  • Demonstrated confidence in influencing others with data.
  • Highly analytical with the ability to translate raw data into meaningful insights.
  • Solid project management capabilities with ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
  • Creativity in both solving problems and devising potential solutions.
  • Understanding of consumer segmentation.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a direct, tactful style and good listening skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with housing markets in Philadelphia and NYC.
  • Experience in strategic planning or land acquisition processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of experience in market assessments, consumer research, or competitive analysis in the homebuilding or similar industry.
