Marketing Assistant

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Help with content creation including marketing material and RFP/Q responses.
• Assist with social media management by creating and scheduling posts, monitoring engagement, and responding to comments and messages.
• Provide marketing and graphics support with online and print magazine advertising and website maintenance.
• Support the planning and coordination of marketing events, such as trade shows, conferences, and speaking engagements, including booth upkeep and logistics.
• Assist with answering the main phone line.
• Advocate for the mission of Animal Arts and represent core values in all marketing-related materials.
• Assist with creating and maintaining marketing materials, including brochures, presentations, and digital content.
• Assist with editing print and web articles and coordinate writing commitments for partners.
• Help identify, coordinate, and submit materials for design competitions.
• Work with the Director of Marketing and Business Development to write, design, and edit RFP/Q submittals, collaborating with principals and other firms.
• Research opportunities for new RFPs and Qs to submit.
• Assist with interview materials as needed.
• Coordinate trade shows, conferences, and speaking engagements.
• Assist with presentation materials.
• Maintain branding consistency through logos, letterhead, graphics, and colors.
• Create and update resumes for the firm and individuals.
• Create and collaborate on print and web ads and manage relationships with advertisers.
• Provide general administrative support, including managing calendars, scheduling meetings, and maintaining databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, architecture, or related field.
• Previous experience in marketing, preferably in the architecture or design industry.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an eye for detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing tools.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Nice to Have

• Experience in social media management (1-2 years).
• Marketing experience less than 1 year.
• Knowledge of digital marketing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, architecture, or related field.
