Job Description

About the Role

The Marketing Automation Manager serves as the enterprise Marketo Architect and subject matter expert, responsible for designing, building, and optimizing marketing automation workflows, drip campaigns, and lead management processes. This individual owns the technical execution of demand generation initiatives, including platform integrations, campaign performance analysis, and process improvements. The role is hands-on and highly collaborative, supporting cross-functional teams with strategic consultation and executional excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute comprehensive, data-driven email marketing strategies in collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive engagement and conversions.
  • Plan and execute multi-channel demand generation campaigns for acquisition, nurturing, and retention.
  • Collaborate with content, creative, web, and social teams to ensure campaign alignment and consistency.
  • Support campaign execution and QA, mentoring junior team members and troubleshooting technical issues to ensure accuracy and performance.
  • Conduct A/B and multivariate testing to optimize campaign performance.
  • Serve as the primary Marketo expert, offering strategic guidance and best practices.
  • Architect and manage all aspects of Adobe Marketo: campaign structure, triggers, drip programs, landing pages, forms, and workflows.
  • Build Marketo programs that support customer journey mapping and lifecycle engagement.
  • Oversee and optimize marketing automation workflows aligned with overall marketing goals.
  • Translate business requirements into scalable marketing automation solutions.
  • Own and manage integrations between Marketo and platforms like Microsoft Dynamics CRM to ensure seamless data flow.
  • Continuously improve marketing operations through process optimization, technology enhancements, and roadmap alignment.
  • Partner with sales to align lead generation goals, handoff processes, and feedback loops.
  • Manage lead generation and nurturing in Marketo, including lead scoring, segmentation, and automation.
  • Analyze campaign performance and collaborate with analytics to develop dashboards and actionable insights.
  • Manage data segmentation, cleansing, and quality control for targeted marketing.
  • Monitor email deliverability, optimize inbox placement, and resolve IP reputation issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in demand generation, email marketing, or marketing automation.
  • Deep expertise in Adobe Marketo, including campaign architecture, automation, and program development.
  • Experience with CRM platforms such as Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign reporting and optimization.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent QA and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Effective collaborator across cross-functional teams, including sales.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Marketo Certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with marketing technology roadmaps and process improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into scalable marketing automation solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience.

  • Salary range: $110,240.00 - $165,360.00 annually, bonus and/or incentive eligible.
