As we continue to expand our digital and franchise development efforts, we're seeking a Marketing Automation Specialist to help us scale and personalize communications across the entire customer journey. This role involves designing, optimizing, and managing marketing automation strategies that drive lead generation, customer engagement, and long-term retention, partnering cross-functionally with internal teams and franchisees to implement scalable, data-driven campaigns for both B2B and B2C audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize multi-channel marketing automation workflows across the customer lifecycle, including franchise lead nurturing, customer acquisition, and subscriber retention.
  • Create and map full customer conversion journeys, identifying and leveraging key triggers such as webpage visits, form submissions, and content downloads.
  • Manage and integrate CMIT's martech stack, including HubSpot, Salesforce, and supporting automation and analytics tools.
  • Develop and deploy segmented, behavior-based email campaigns tailored to audience persona, lifecycle stage, and engagement signals.
  • Support the sales team and franchise network by building email sequences, task automations, and follow-up cadences aligned with lead and deal stages.
  • Provide training, guidance, and resources to franchisees to help them effectively utilize marketing automation tools and run local campaigns.
  • Drive A/B testing strategies for emails, landing pages, and funnels; analyze results and iterate based on performance insights.
  • Build and maintain dashboard reporting to track funnel metrics, attribution, conversion rates, and marketing-generated revenue.
  • Act as the internal champion for LLMs (Large Language Models) and AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT), training internal stakeholders and developing prompt libraries.
  • Research, test, and implement new automation and AI-driven tools to enhance personalization, campaign performance, and scalability.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of experience in marketing operations, automation, or growth marketing.
  • Proficiency in HubSpot and Salesforce—including data syncing, campaign design, reporting, and integration.
  • Experience designing and managing complex customer lifecycle journeys.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to derive insights from complex datasets.
  • Familiarity with HTML/CSS for email template and landing page customization.
  • Comfortable working across both B2B and B2C channels; experience in distributed or franchise-based businesses is a plus.
  • Confidence using generative AI tools (LLMs) for automation and content generation.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with conversion rate optimization and A/B testing methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge of SQL and use of CDPs or tools like Segment, Census.
  • Experience in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, or hospitality.
  • Familiarity with data privacy compliance (e.g., GDPR, COPPA).
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, analytics, computer science, or a related field.
