About the Role

The Marketing Manager is responsible for delivering marketing responsibilities for the Coatings and Engineered Fabrics market segments within LNM at WACKER. This role involves aligning long-term strategic objectives across market teams, achieving revenue and profit targets within the NCA region, defining and executing regional business strategies that link to global market strategies, and managing key financial metrics to position the portfolio for profitable growth. The position reports to the LNM Head of Marketing and requires establishing effective relationships across the organization, anticipating market changes, and supporting project and process implementations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver on the marketing responsibilities for the Coatings and Engineered Fabrics market segments within LNM, including aligning strategic objectives and achieving revenue and profit targets in the NCA region.
  • Define and execute the regional business strategy for the defined market segments, ensuring linkage to global strategies and leading cross-functional teams.
  • Manage key financial profitability metrics and position the portfolio for profitable top-line growth.
  • Establish effective working relationships with representatives across the broader WACKER organization.
  • Anticipate, understand, and manage the impact of changes in the competitive environment, new technology, and downstream markets.
  • Deliver on profitability and revenue planning, including product, customer, and market share portfolio planning, along with price/margin optimization.
  • Lead strategy development and implementation within the defined markets, including regional SKL/VKP five-year planning, MARCOM planning, competitive assessments, and market development.
  • Lead contract negotiation strategies, planning, and execution, including complex commercial positioning and alignment with senior leadership for key accounts.
  • Support business development, market assessments, and global project/process initiatives, including sustainability impacts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Chemistry or Engineering; Master's degree is desirable.
  • Ideally 5-7 years of experience in sales and marketing management or roles supporting these functions.
  • Broad business background in sales, marketing, technology, commercial development, and supply chain functions.
  • Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time.
  • Experience operating in a highly matrixed global organization, preferably in specialty chemical markets, with demonstrated leadership and influence skills.
  • Experience managing or interfacing with technology organizations focused on product development, application development, technical service, and market optimization.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and accountable for business results.
  • Ability to define strategic direction and translate it into actionable objectives, negotiate contracts, and drive change.
  • Proficiency with SAP Business Warehouse, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience managing within multi-cultural business settings.
  • Knowledge of digitalization concepts and tools is a plus.
