About the Role

Join our dynamic Games Global Brand Team as the Marketing Manager for UNO & Portfolio Card Brands at Mattel. In this role, you'll help deliver innovative, effective, and globally resonant marketing strategies for some of the world's most beloved card games. Working closely with cross-functional teams and reporting to the Cards Director, you will drive product development, support marketing campaigns, and create strategic assets to maximize retail and ecommerce success. Mattel is a leading global toy and family entertainment company committed to creating innovative products and experiences that inspire fans, entertain audiences, and develop children through play.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all product marketing projects are supported by business strategy, objectives, and insights.
  • Assist in gaining buy-in to global product strategies at all levels and secure executional commitment from internal partners to activate across key markets and lines of business.
  • Drive innovation by collaborating with Product Design, Packaging, Development, and Consumer Insights teams to bring compelling toys to market on time and on budget.
  • Present product lines and strategy to internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment.
  • Communicate regularly and collaborate closely with regional teams and other Mattel Global Brand teams to meet needs, share plans, and leverage best practices.
  • Brief and develop marketing assets.
  • Monitor and analyze key trends, category developments, and competitors' performance globally using advanced analytics and reporting.
  • Manage global business analysis, KPIs, campaign performance, and financials to maximize ROI and efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, diversity, and inclusion within the team and in marketing communications.
  • Act as point of contact for brand inquiries and dissemination of brand information and assets.
  • Mentor and support junior team members by sharing best practices, insights, and learnings.

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience with MBA or 6+ years of relevant work experience without MBA.
  • Experience with company/product/marketing rooted in consumer trends.
  • Experience with ecommerce and direct selling.
  • Experience in interfacing with external license partners.
  • Thorough understanding of marketing mix and KPIs.
  • Experience analyzing data and managing financials.
  • Ability to synthesize data and pull insights to create recommendations.
  • Strong skills in presenting to large groups.
  • Highly organized, independent, and detail-oriented with strong follow-up skills.
  • Strong time management, planning, and project execution skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build collaborative relationships.
  • Deep curiosity for learning about unfamiliar products, properties, and consumer segments.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Personal attributes include a positive attitude, solution orientation, self-starter mindset, confidence, and a willingness to explore pop culture trends.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working within the gaming, toy, or entertainment industries.
  • Understanding of fan communities and brand storytelling.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (implied by experience requirements).
  • MBA preferred but not required.
