About the Role

Join our dynamic Games Global Brand Team as the Marketing Manager for UNO & Portfolio Card Brands. In this role, you'll help deliver innovative, effective, and globally resonant marketing strategies for some of the world's most beloved card games. Working closely with cross-functional teams and reporting to the Cards Director, you will drive product development, while ensuring that the brand has exceptional marketing support, creating unique and strategic assets and product marketing campaigns that can be maximized at retail and on ecommerce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all product marketing projects are supported by business strategy, objectives and insights
  • Assist in gaining buy-in to global product strategies at all levels, as well as executional commitment from internal partners to activate across key markets and key lines of business
  • Drive innovation by collaborating with Product Design, Packaging, Development, and Consumer Insights teams to bring compelling toys to market on time and on budget
  • Present product lines and strategy to key internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment
  • Communicate regularly and collaborate closely with regional teams and other Mattel Global Brand teams to ensure needs are met, plans are shared, and 'best practices' are leveraged
  • Brief and develop marketing assets
  • Monitor and analyze key trends, category developments, and competitors' performance globally, using advanced analytics and reporting
  • Manage global business analysis, KPIs, campaign performance, and financials, maximizing ROI and efficiency
  • Foster a culture of innovation, diversity, and inclusion within the team and in marketing communications
  • Act as point of contact for brand inquiries and dissemination of brand information and assets
  • Mentor and support junior team members by sharing best practices, insights, and learnings gained from experience

Requirements

  • Minimum 4+ years of relevant work experience with MBA or 6+ years of relevant work experience without MBA
  • Experience with company/product/marketing that is rooted in consumer trends
  • Experience with ecommerce and direct selling
  • Experience in interfacing with external license partners
  • Thorough understanding of marketing mix and KPIs
  • Experience analyzing data and managing financials
  • Ability to synthesize data and pull insights to create recommendations
  • Strong skills presenting in front of large groups
  • Highly organized, independent and detail oriented with strong follow up skills
  • Strong time management, planning and project execution skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid collaborative relationships
  • Deep curiosity for learning about unfamiliar products, properties, and consumer segments
  • Strong PowerPoint creation and presentation skills, proficiency in Outlook, Word and Excel

Nice to Have

  • Willingness to dig into pop culture trends - specifically within the gaming, toy, or entertainment industries with an understanding of fan communities and brand storytelling
