MARKETING MANAGER/GRAPHIC DESIGNER

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all marketing, public relations, and advertising for events.
• Develop and implement event brand strategies.
• Establish positive relationships with all media.
• Develop and manage the location website, social media strategy, and digital footprint.
• Maintain consistency in brand identity across all platforms and materials.
• Develop and design visual event marketing assets for print and digital media.
• Maintain the marketing departmental budget as established by the Executive Director.
• Meet annual marketing departmental goals and objectives.
• Gather, record, and compare event attendance monthly, quarterly, and year-to-date.
• Summarize monthly attendance, events, and economic impact for clients.
• Forecast event attendance and economic impact to develop the annual budget.
• Attend and contribute at weekly senior staff meetings.
• Attend training seminars and conferences.
• Rotate Manager on Duty (MOD) responsibilities.

Requirements

• Four-year degree in marketing/communications or related field.
• A minimum of three to five years' previous experience in marketing or related roles.
• Knowledge of public and media relations, promotional and sales development, and advertising.
• Demonstrated ability to create visual concepts through graphic design.
• Knowledge of event center practices and ability to follow instructions.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word processing programs.
• Possession of a current, valid driver's license.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, journals, procedures, or regulations.
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and manuals.
• Effective presentation skills and ability to respond to questions from groups.
• Ability to speak and understand English.
• Mathematical skills including calculating figures, percentages, and measurements.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and interpret information.
• Physical ability to perform activities such as standing, walking, reaching, lifting up to 20 lbs., and working flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Willingness to travel, including overnight stays.
• Ability to work in a well-ventilated, well-lighted environment, with noise levels that can vary during events.

Nice to Have

• Experience with event management practices.
• Additional experience in digital marketing or social media management.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in marketing/communications or related field.
• Minimum of three to five years' experience in marketing or related roles.

Benefits & Perks

• Salary range of $70,000 - $75,000 per year.
• Work schedule generally Monday - Friday 8:30am to 5pm, with evening, weekend, and holiday hours as needed.
