About the Role

UVA's School of Continuing and Professional Studies (SCPS) is seeking a Marketing Operations Manager. SCPS helps working adults finish their degrees and advance their careers. The school offers a variety of online and in-person programs including bachelor's degree completion programs, professional certificates, a master in public safety, and other career accelerators. In coordination with the Director of Communications, the Marketing Operations Manager will manage the school-wide marketing operations, including managing the use of Slate, the school's CRM, for recruitment and communication efforts, optimizing the system, and supporting institutional goals. The role involves innovating admission operations, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, analyzing engagement metrics, and supporting marketing and communication strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the use of Slate, the school's CRM, for recruitment and communication efforts, including managing data integrity, system optimization, and process automation.
Innovate and enhance admission operations functions within Slate.
Work with stakeholders inside the school, across the University, and externally to build mailings, events, queries, reports, and maintain contact information for prospects, students, alumni, and other community members.
Provide CRM data and trend analyses to inform communication and marketing strategies, aiming to improve applicant and student experience, application rates, yield, and retention.
Collaborate with the Director of Communications and the Marketing team to build and manage mailing and editorial calendars for outreach to various constituencies.
Review, update, and create new email and event communications in coordination with the Communications and Marketing team.
Gather, analyze, and interpret engagement metrics to suggest improvements for marketing and communication efforts.
Collaborate with the Communications and Marketing team, Central Admission, and other stakeholders on related projects.
Perform additional marketing and communications work as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
Flexibility and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Minimum three years of relevant experience in marketing operations or enrollment, including at least one year of CRM management experience.
Strong operational, analytical, technical, and data management skills.

Nice to Have

One or more years of relevant experience with Slate.

Qualifications

Educational background: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
