About the Role

EY's Analytics and Data team is seeking a Master Data Management Manager focusing on helping our clients define and drive data management strategy and technology implementation. This role demands a seasoned professional with a strategic vision and ability to define an enterprise data strategy with clients, complemented by a solid track record of system delivery. The individual should be ready to guide clients through the adoption and implementation of advanced technologies. The role involves designing and applying comprehensive methods, practices, policies, tools, and processes to govern and control the entire lifecycle of data assets, performing maturity assessments, and advising on tools and roadmaps to implement data management capabilities. The position is open to candidates located anywhere in the country and involves working within a globally connected, diverse team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop solutions to complex problems, recommending changes to policies and establishing procedures that affect immediate work areas.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Manage project status and deliverable completion while ensuring effective risk management.
  • Guide clients in defining a data governance strategy including data quality, data catalog, master data management, analytics use cases, data readiness for AI/ML, and systems alignment to ERP and CRM applications.
  • Implement cutting-edge data quality tools and processes to maintain data standards throughout the infrastructure.
  • Engage in meticulous requirement gathering, interpret Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), and collaborate with system analysts to develop source-to-target mappings.
  • Participate in strategic design, implementation, and optimization of data management solutions using Informatica and related tools.
  • Conduct thorough examinations of data within source databases prior to migration into data warehouses and generate detailed technical specifications.
  • Lead multiple engagements simultaneously, ensuring high-quality service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Architect data pipelines, respond to RFPs, create new solutions and offerings, conduct workshops, and manage ongoing projects.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 8 years of direct involvement with Master Data Management (MDM) tools.
  • Experience leading delivery teams in data governance, data management, and system implementations.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and ability to articulate these to clients.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues and drive business outcomes.
  • Proven ability to research and provide insights on industry standards, regulations, and technology assessments.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Data Privacy and Master Data Management.
  • Strong understanding of Data Governance and Enterprise Strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Advanced Data Analytics, or a related technical/scientific field.
  • Typically, at least 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Metadata Management, Ontology Design, IT Operating Models, and Data Fabric.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally and hold a valid driver's license in the US.
  • Experience in stakeholder engagement and maintaining business relationships.

Qualifications

  • Salary range in the US: $125,500 to $230,200; in NYC, Washington State, and California: $150,700 to $261,600.
