About the Role
The Media Associate, YouTube Paid Media Buying, is responsible for assisting the internal YouTube Paid Media buying team across various brands within a large consumer products company. The role involves campaign optimizations, setup, and management of paid search and YouTube video campaigns, with a focus on international brands and data-driven decision making. The position is based in El Segundo, CA, and requires working onsite Monday through Thursday with remote work on Fridays. It is a 3-month contract to start.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in translating Media Buying Strategy into campaign builds within the Google Ads platform, including campaign creation, trafficking, optimizations, and pacing.
- Monitor competitors and macro trends to suggest campaign optimizations as needed.
- Make real-time optimizations to maximize channel performance and media efficiency.
- Collaborate with wider Integrated Marketing Communication teams to improve YouTube paid media campaigns.
- Support Sr Media Partners by setting up campaign builds, managing targeting, keyword lists, uploading creative, developing ad copy, and executing A/B testing plans.
- Support weekly reporting calls for each brand.
Requirements
- 1-2 years overall experience with 1-2 years YouTube Media Buying & execution.
- Experience with Google Ads Manager and Paid Search campaigns, including campaign setup, keyword research, ad creation, and bid management.
- Proficiency in Google Ads & Manager/Editor.
- Excel experience, including pivot tables.
- Knowledge of YouTube platform, Google Ads, Display & Video 360, and YouTube analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of SEO practices, keyword research, and content optimization.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field (preferred).
Nice to Have
- Experience with Paid Search/video campaigns.
- Experience with campaign optimizations for international brands (EMEA, APAC, LATAM).
- Experience with AI tools for campaign analysis and optimization.
