About the Role

Sonalysts, Inc. is seeking a Deployment/Infrastructure Engineer with critical thinking and effective communication skills to join our system infrastructure as code team responsible for bare-metal and/or containerized deployment of mission-critical, training, and real-time software applications that will be deployed in commercial and/or private environments. The position will require the potential partner to work on-site in Waterford, CT and may require some travel in support of the project.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be a key contributor to the deployment of mission-critical military software applications using an Agile development process.
Work alongside developers across the entire stack, from planning through test and sustainment.
Collaborate closely with a quality assurance team.
Support the deployment of software applications in various environments.
Participate in planning, testing, and sustaining deployment processes.

Requirements

Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
Bachelor's degree in an IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years of related technical experience in IT or DevOps automation supporting software and system engineering projects.

Nice to Have

Possessing an active U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
5+ years of related technical experience using scripting languages: Python, PowerShell, Bash, JavaScript or similar language.
Knowledge of building, managing, scaling and deploying containerized solutions (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker) in a production environment.
Thorough understanding of networking: TCP/IP and application protocols.
Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Ansible, Terraform, etc.
Experience with Postgres and MySQL databases.
Experience with scripting languages and tools to automate information system administration and security functions.
Experience using Git-based toolsets.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Experience with .NET programming.
Experience with logging, metrics collection, and reporting stacks.
Experience with software testing frameworks.
Experience using Software Composition and/or Static Analysis tools.
Experience with SELinux.
Active Security+ or equivalent certification.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in an IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field.
5+ years of related technical experience in IT or DevOps automation supporting software and system engineering projects.
Must be a U.S. citizen, eligible for U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET security clearance.
