Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the technical keystone throughout the entire sales cycle, from pre-sales to post-sales engagement.
  • Work closely with Enterprise prospects and customers to educate, empower, and ensure their success on the Cloudflare platform.
  • Leverage technical expertise in Cloudflare's global distributed network and technology to find best-fit solutions for prospects.
  • Train and onboard new customers via video conference, in person, or through documentation.
  • Support the long-term success of customers by developing solutions tailored to their needs.
  • Develop new firewall rules from log files, craft performance caching and delivery strategies, and create or repurpose internal tools and scripts for customers.
  • Act as a trusted technical customer advocate within Cloudflare, collaborating with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Customer Support teams.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage projects, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands.
  • Understanding of how the internet works, including differences between TCP & UDP, authoritative DNS & recursive DNS, and cloud computing concepts.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts such as WAF, Zero Trust, SASE, and the ability to discuss these with a technical audience.
  • Passion for technology and the ability to explain complex technical concepts in easy-to-understand terms.
  • Curiosity and an avid builder mindset, willing to get hands dirty.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, Bash, or similar.
  • Experience building or contributing to web applications.
  • Ability to describe security threats like CSRF, XSS, SQLi, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2 (preferred).
  • Experience or familiarity with LLMs and their integration into distributed network environments (preferred).

Nice to Have

  • Previous experience in a sales or consulting role, even outside of tech.
  • Demonstrated experience with scripting languages and a desire to expand those skills.
  • Experience with building or contributing to web applications.
  • Knowledge of security threats like CSRF, XSS, SQLi, and Cloudflare's defense mechanisms.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2.
