The role of the National Accounts Manager is a remote position responsible for cultivating relationships, improving revenue and profitability of National Accounts, and developing customer strategies to achieve sales and profit plans.

Key Responsibilities

  • Target new and develop existing National Account opportunities.
  • Establish senior level relationships within targeted National Accounts.
  • Establish agreements, contracts, MSAs for long-term business with National Account customers.
  • Identify perceived gaps in value offerings that present opportunities for growth.
  • Manage a revenue forecast process for each National Account.
  • Communicate closely with the National Accounts Director and Business Development team regarding account activity, product/service recommendations, bidding, estimating, quoting, and project pipeline.
  • Identify and execute sales tools and resources to positively impact customer satisfaction.
  • Manage margin, revenue growth, and account targeting in alignment with program goals.
  • Manage, mentor, and lead team members aligned to the National Accounts program.
  • Conduct customer meetings, presentations, and events with National Account team members.
  • Develop programs, scopes-of-work, pricing, and negotiate contracts for national projects.
  • Lead weekly/bi-weekly calls with National Account clients and support teams.
  • Resolve account conflicts with corporate contacts and field sales.
  • Present account development progress to management.
  • Coach Tremco reps and corporate account representatives on account management and development.
  • Ensure team members are aware of account responsibilities, goals, and expectations.
  • Participate in monthly meetings to update on account activities.
  • Lead discussions with clients regarding capabilities in new construction and infrastructure.
  • Identify client pain points and drive education around building envelope solutions.
  • Collaborate to build long-term asset management plans prioritizing proactive maintenance.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and develop new accounts.
  • Support international projects and coordinate remotely.
  • Provide regular reports on account activity and opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from a four- or five-year college or university.
  • Four to seven years of related experience and/or training.
  • Previous experience in developing large corporate accounts.
  • Team selling and leadership experience.
  • Ability to present to large groups and deliver value propositions.
  • Proficient in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook.
  • Strong facilitation and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel to National Account locations as needed.
  • Experience with industry-specific best practices and technical insight.
  • Self-starter with innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible working style across various divisions and personalities.
  • Technically savvy with existing technology tools.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting international teams and projects.
  • Experience in building long-term asset management plans.
