About the Role

Johnson & Johnson Innovative Medicine is searching for a Senior District Manager to support the South Texas District within the Neuroscience team. The role involves developing and executing compliant promotion of Neuroscience Mood products across various care settings, managing a team of Key Account and Mood Sales Specialists, and collaborating with supporting functions to achieve business goals. The Neuroscience team focuses on tackling complex brain health diseases such as multiple sclerosis, Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, and mood disorders, aiming to develop treatments and find cures while championing patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for the development, execution of compliant promotion of the Neuroscience Mood product(s) in all optimal sites of care across both outpatient and inpatient settings to approved health care professionals.
  • Directly supervise Key Account Specialists & Mood Sales Specialists within the defined district.
  • Develop and successfully implement a coordinated district business plan with targeted objectives to achieve sales and business results.
  • Manage, develop, motivate, and compensate assigned personnel with proper allocation of resources.
  • Partner and leverage various supporting functions within Neuroscience Sales, Medical Affairs, Marketing, and Institutional Business Group to deliver on business goals.
  • Provide demand generation leadership with the team across the geography and diverse stakeholders.
  • Provide direction and oversight to team members for all Neuroscience Mood promoted brand(s) and maintain expert knowledge of clinical and HCC guidelines.
  • Analyze the business, coach on sales messages, support territory strategies, and develop the team's business acumen.
  • Work closely with team members to establish and support career and development plans for representatives.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
  • A valid driver's license issued in one of the fifty U.S. states.
  • A minimum of eight years of relevant work experience, including at least five years in sales or cross-functional roles within the pharmaceutical, biotech, medical device, or healthcare industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and motivate others.
  • Ability to travel up to 50%, including overnight and weekend travel.
  • Must live in or be willing to relocate to the geography.

Nice to Have

  • Prior people management experience or completion of a Management Development Program.
  • Expertise in high-level planning, organizing, and business planning.
  • Experience with Neuroscience and/or Mood disease states.
  • Experience in large account management and access & reimbursement.
  • A Master's Degree in a related field or an MBA.
  • In-depth knowledge of the U.S. healthcare industry, including key business partners and care delivery models.
