About the Role

FYP seeks an experienced, part-time Multimedia Associate to oversee web development, social media content creation and data analysis, and intern mentorship. This position will provide hands-on experience managing project social media and web pages, creating and editing multimedia content, and contributing to digital strategy. FYP works to interrupt the cycles of poverty and criminalization that prevent LGBTQ+ youth from living fulfilling, enriching lives. We provide direct legal services and advocate for LGBTQ+ young people (up to age 24) living in poverty on a wide range of issues, including safe and affirming access to shelter, benefits, accurate identification documents, employment, and legal immigration status. FYP is housed within the Urban Justice Center, a dynamic non-profit law collective. The Multimedia Associate is expected to work 10-15 hours per week in a hybrid model.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee web development and manage project web pages.
Create and edit multimedia content for social media and digital platforms.
Manage social media content and contribute to digital strategy.
Analyze social media data and utilize social media analytics.
Mentor interns and support team collaboration.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree (or higher) in multimedia, marketing, communications, or equivalent degree/experience.
Expert knowledge of Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Wix, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and organized with excellent time management skills.
Experience managing social media platforms.
Experience with design and short-form editing (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud).
Experience utilizing social media analytics.
Self-initiative and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Strong work ethic, team spirit, and a sense of humor.
