About the Role

The Performance Marketing Lead at Microsoft is responsible for analyzing and optimizing marketing channel performance across various channels such as paid media, SEO, and email marketing. The role involves using data-driven insights to identify trends, measure performance, and provide actionable recommendations to improve marketing strategies. The team develops integrated marketing strategies that connect with customers throughout the full cycle, from awareness to conversion, and works cross-functionally to deliver impactful campaigns. The position is part of the Digital Direct Sales team, which manages the Microsoft Store eCommerce experience, creating a trusted online destination for consumers and small businesses to discover, learn, and buy Microsoft products and solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze performance of all paid and non-paid marketing channels, ensuring clear attribution and effectiveness and provide actionable insights to refine strategies to ensure marketing investments drive impact.
  • Track, report, and analyze channel impact on campaigns and website analytics, identifying trends and insights.
  • Conduct A/B testing to identify successful marketing tactics.
  • Prepare and present reports on channel and campaign performance to stakeholders.
  • Develop storytelling to demonstrate business impact of integrated marketing channels.
  • Use tools such as Adobe Analytics, Fabric, PowerBI, AdWords, and social media platforms to gather and analyze data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align campaign goals and strategies.
  • Align with partner analytics teams to evolve email and SEO impact measurement methodology.
  • Create a measurement framework and metric baseline for partnership initiatives.
  • Stay current with the latest trends and best practices in digital marketing channels such as SEO/SEM and Email Marketing.
  • Embody the company's culture and values.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field AND 3+ years of experience in integrated marketing, event management, marketing strategy, business planning, or related work experience OR equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years experience analyzing marketing channel performance, identifying trends, and turning insights into strategic recommendations.
  • 3+ years experience with A/B and multivariate experiments.
  • 1+ years experience with marketing attribution models such as Multi-Touch, Model-Based or similar products.
  • Working knowledge of tools such as Adobe Analytics, Fabric, PowerBI, AdWords, and social media platforms.
  • Past experience with performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition for a retail organization or agency.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word.

Nice to Have

  • Master's Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Economics, Public Relations, or related field.
  • Additional 2+ years of integrated marketing experience if holding a Master's Degree.
  • Experience with evolving email and SEO impact measurement methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in marketing analysis and channel performance.
  • Experience with A/B testing and attribution models.
