Platform One DevOps Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and enhancement of collaboration and knowledge management tools for a wide range of government customers.
• Work within a highly collaborative, multi-contractor support team to implement DevSecOps pipelines and containerized deployments.
• Apply DevOps principles to a cloud-based enterprise platform in a fast-paced environment.
• Participate in pair programming and communicate effectively within a team.
• Support software development efforts aligned with national security and space domain projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with at least 3 years of technical experience, or additional relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Knowledge of collaboration tools and administration (e.g., Mattermost, Slack).
• Experience developing within an Agile environment using the Scrum methodology.
• Experience with Git Ops and version control software (e.g., Git).
• Experience with DevOps tools with an emphasis on CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Gitlab, Nexus, Artifactory, Jenkins, Docker).
• Experience with object-oriented programming languages (e.g., Golang, Python, Java, C#).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
• Willingness to learn new tools and concepts quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Possess a DoD 8140.03/8570.01 Information Assurance Technical II certification (e.g., Security+) or able to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written English.
• Must be a US Citizen due to DoD contract.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Platform One or other DoD Software Factories.
• Knowledge of the Atlassian Suite (Jira, Jira Service Management, Confluence) including front-end and administrative functions & plugin structure.
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Powershell, ScriptRunner).
• Experience writing front-end software using frameworks (e.g., React Typescript, Angular, Vue JS).
• Experience and knowledge of Software Composition Analysis (SCA) tools (e.g., Fortify, SonarQube, Prisma Cloud Compute).
• Experience with application deployment in Docker Containers.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) including VPC, EC2, IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch.
• Experience with Kubernetes and/or other container orchestration tools.
• Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Helm, Ansible).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).
• Experience with access management and client account technical support (SSO, Keycloak, Appgate).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or relevant experience.
• DoD 8140.03/8570.01 Information Assurance Technical II certification (e.g., Security+), or ability to obtain within 6 months.
