About the Role

The President Social Media Student Worker is responsible for increasing Western's President's social media account followers, primarily on Facebook, and building engaging content in coordination with the President and other departments. The role involves social media monitoring, partner collaboration, event promotion, and driving engagement, supporting the college's communication and community outreach efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Increase Western's President social media account followers, primarily on Facebook, and build content accordingly.
Monitor social media for appropriate comments and engagement on Western branded accounts and community accounts.
Partner with executive staff assigned by the President to help build content, such as Mustang Athletic championships.
Work with Student Life and Athletics departments for one event each semester sponsored by the President's Cabinet (e.g., Easter Egg Hunt).
Drive engagement on social media platforms.
Assist with miscellaneous projects assigned by the Marketing office.

Requirements

Must have Facebook account.
Have a working personal mobile device with a camera.
Ability to manage social media platforms.
Build creative posts and content.
Relationship building and networking skills.
Confident and social personality.
Good work ethic and communication skills.
Proficiency in copy building.
Must be a student at Western Wyoming Community College enrolled in at least 6 credit hours.

Nice to Have

Word, Excel, PowerPoint experience.
Use of computer/laptop.
Design experience.
Video editing experience.

Qualifications

Enrolled student at Western Wyoming Community College with at least 6 credit hours.

Estimated salary of $10.00/hr.
Work hours contingent upon academic schedule.
