About the Role

The President's Intern will actively support and communicate the president's initiatives through participation in strategic events, content creation, and social media management. This role involves engaging with community and college events, crafting strategic content to promote initiatives, and maintaining the president's presence on digital platforms. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Digital Marketing and Strategy and is based at Carroll Community College, focusing on digital tasks and structured engagements in a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

Participate in event participation as directed
Create content for various platforms
Manage social media accounts
Assist in reporting and documentation
Engage in leadership development and training participation
Contribute to strategic communication planning
Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED or current dually enrolled student
Ability to follow specific directions provided by the supervisor and receive constructive feedback
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality
Effective communication skills to interact with diverse student body, faculty, staff, and community members
Effective computer skills (MS Office)
Knowledge of and ability to create content on and manage College social media platforms
Ability to operate basic office equipment
Active listening skills and ability to understand and clearly communicate
Positive, flexible, cooperative, and supportive attitude

Nice to Have

Experience with content creation and social media management
Familiarity with digital marketing tools

Qualifications

Current student status or recent graduate
Ability to work on campus as of the first day of employment
Residency in DE, MD, PA, VA, WV, or DC as of the first day of employment
Authorization to work in the US
