Principal Architect, Generative AI

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Architect Generative AI Solutions: Design and develop end-to-end generative AI applications that meet business needs, collaborating with IT and business leadership to align AI capabilities with organizational goals.
• Application Development: Develop the architecture and framework for generative AI cloud-based applications, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and high-performing.
• Lead discussions with development teams to integrate generative AI models into enterprise applications.
• Create detailed design plans for AI-powered solutions, including selecting appropriate generative AI models such as Large Language Models (LLMs), and ensure proper deployment and integration with existing infrastructure.
• Conduct thorough testing and evaluation of AI models, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Continuously monitor the performance of generative AI applications and recommend optimizations.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, guiding the adoption of generative AI tools and methodologies.
• Stay up to date with advancements in generative AI technologies, tools, and frameworks, and identify and integrate the latest innovations into the organization’s AI ecosystem.
• Operate with a risk-aware mindset, anticipating and addressing potential challenges or unintended consequences of AI implementations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• At least 7 years of experience in roles such as AI Architect, Engineer, or Application Developer, with a recent focus on designing and implementing AI solutions.
• Proven experience designing and delivering generative AI applications, leveraging technologies such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Foundation Models, or similar systems.
• 1+ years of hands-on experience designing, building, and deploying Generative AI solutions in production environments.
• Expertise in Python, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks (React + TypeScript).
• Familiarity with AI models and technologies such as OpenAI, Hugging Face, Falcon, LLaMA, Cohere, and others.
• Strong experience with SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgresDB, MongoDB, and Neo4J.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (preferably Azure) and cloud-native AI services (e.g., Azure OpenAI).
• Proven experience implementing Generative AI systems using LangChain, LangGraph, LLMs, RAG, and embedding-based retrieval.
• Development and integration skills, including understanding software development principles and experience working closely with developers to build AI-powered applications.
• Ability to design scalable generative AI applications and influence stakeholders at various levels.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud-native AI services on Azure.
• Experience with embedding-based retrieval and RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation).
