About the Role

We are recruiting for a Data Engineer to support a growing mission providing data related cloud resources. The company, QinetiQ US, is a world-class team delivering next generation technology and products in robotic and autonomous platforms, sensor science, AI, ML, and related fields. They focus on defense, aerospace, security, and protecting the American Warfighter, Security Forces, and Allies. Key Responsibilities

Responsible for the full data lifecycle, from exploratory data analysis to the upkeep of production data flows.
Work closely with data scientists and support organizational activities across multiple environments to exploit data of various types and security levels.
Identify and refine requirements with end customers, develop data flows, and create data models.

Requirements

Experience implementing and leading implementation of data analytics and data management programs in customer environments with diverse data holdings.
Expert level skills in database architecture and engineering with data modeling, ingestion, transformation, warehousing, and integration capabilities.
Proficiency in data exploration, visualization, and analytics using tools such as Power BI and/or Tableau.
Experience finding actionable insights and communicating them effectively to senior leaders or policymakers.
Experience with database and analytics capabilities and/or data migration from on-premise to cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Expert skills in writing and using SQL queries and scripts (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres) for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex technical information for senior audiences.
Project management skills, including creating schedules, managing implementation, tracking milestones, and collaborating with customers.
Technical leadership skills guiding implementation using Agile principles and methodology.
Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.
