As part of our Marketing Analytics & Insights team, the Data Strategy Principal Manager will serve as a key enabler of data-driven decision-making across global marketing teams. This role involves designing and developing robust data strategies that power performance insights, campaign optimization, and commercial effectiveness, bridging the gap between raw data and business impact through building high-quality, scalable data models and pipelines for enterprise marketing use. The position follows a hybrid work model requiring employees to be in the local office at least three days per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of Corporate Data Strategy, optimizing efficiency, data quality, and competitive advantage.
  • Act as a subject matter expert (SME) on marketing, digital and customer data infrastructure, guiding data source onboarding for marketing activation.
  • Champion a first-party data strategy, enabling personalized customer communications and scalable audience-building processes.
  • Design workflows for activating customer segments in downstream channels, focusing on automation and scalability.
  • Evaluate new data sources, enrichment partners, and technologies to strengthen the marketing data ecosystem.
  • Align funding and resources for data initiatives, prioritizing investments based on ROI, scalability, and strategic impact.
  • Maintain and communicate a marketing data roadmap aligned with enterprise-wide goals.
  • Partner with IT, Analytics, Marketing, Business Units, and Leadership to deliver an integrated customer experience.
  • Translate business needs into structured data requirements and governance standards.
  • Manage multiple cross-functional projects while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timely delivery.
  • Define business requirements for innovative data and marketing technology solutions.
  • Partner with technical teams to ensure marketing needs are understood and delivered.
  • Advocate for scalable architectures that balance foundational work with innovation.
  • Use analytics and stakeholder feedback to inform strategy and enhance customer experiences.
  • Establish and report on KPIs to measure adoption and success of data initiatives.
  • Ensure marketing teams have access to trusted data that drives confident decision-making.
  • Deliver value stories and training that promote data-driven, customer-centric marketing.
  • Present strategy and progress effectively to senior leadership.
  • Foster continuous improvement, cross-team feedback, and proactive collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Marketing, Business, or related field; Master's preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in data strategy, analytics, marketing operations, or related functions.
  • Proven ability to translate business questions into technical requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of marketing data ecosystems (CRM, campaign, digital, customer, and third-party data).
  • Experience with data governance, compliance, and privacy regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA).
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of working across diverse teams.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels—setting vision and executing details.
  • Ability to lead through influence, align multiple stakeholders to a common vision, and process improvement experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with data modeling, data pipelines, and scalable architecture design.
  • Knowledge of marketing technology solutions and digital transformation initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Data Science, Analytics, Marketing, Business, or related fields, with a preference for a Master's degree.
  • Experience in data strategy, analytics, or marketing operations for at least 7 years.
