About the Role

The Director of Marketing Data Science is a key leader on the Growth Data Science team at Docusign, responsible for driving growth through advanced analytics, experimentation, and data-driven insights to optimize demand generation. This role involves providing visibility into the demand funnel, partnering with marketing and business stakeholders, and leading a team of data scientists to develop predictive models and measurement frameworks. The position reports to the Senior Director, Growth Data Science, and supports the company's mission to simplify agreements and unleash business-critical data.

Key Responsibilities

Partner with Marketing leadership to drive business growth through data science and advanced analytics
Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing refinement of marketing measurement frameworks, including multi-touch attribution modeling, media mix modeling, and incrementality testing
Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve the demand generation engine using statistical analysis and quantitative insights
Design and implement A/B tests and multivariate experiments to optimize marketing campaigns and channels
Translate complex measurement outputs into actionable recommendations, and collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and business stakeholders to apply these insights in campaign planning, budget allocation, and channel optimization
Build and maintain dashboards and automated reporting tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders

Requirements

12+ years of experience in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, or related roles
Experience with SQL and relational databases and data warehouses
Experience with Python or R for data analysis and modeling
Experience with applying statistical and machine learning frameworks to go to market problems
Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Experience delivering business impact through data science
BA/BS degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Economics)

Nice to Have

Advanced degree (MS, PhD, or MBA) in a quantitative or technical field
Experience in B2B SaaS companies and a deep understanding of the commercial Marketing demand generation funnel across both self-service and sales-led routes to market
Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure) and modern data stack tools
Experience with marketing automation platforms (e.g., Eloqua, Marketo, HubSpot) and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker)
