Job Description

About the Role

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is the global edge-to-cloud company advancing the way people live and work. We help companies connect, protect, analyze, and act on their data and applications wherever they live, from edge to cloud, so they can turn insights into outcomes at the speed required to thrive in today's complex world. Our culture thrives on finding new and better ways to accelerate what's next. We value varied backgrounds, offer flexibility to manage work and personal needs, and foster a culture of bold moves, together, and being a force for good. This role is designated as 'Remote/Teleworker', allowing primarily work from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and own the product roadmap for SDN and network virtualization features, with a focus on micro segmentation, VXLAN, and PVLAN technologies.
  • Build and scale virtualized network infrastructure including virtual switches, routers, gateways, and service chains.
  • Define requirements for dynamic, intent-based networking policies and secure workload isolation.
  • Collaborate with engineering on architecture decisions and integration into cloud and on-prem platforms.
  • Implement VXLAN for network virtualization, enabling large-scale, multi-tenant environments with Layer 2 network extension across Layer 3 infrastructures.
  • Engage with customers to understand networking pain points and gather feedback on roadmap priorities.
  • Partner with GTM teams to develop messaging, enablement, and pricing models for SDN offerings.
  • Monitor industry trends and competitive landscape to ensure our product remains a leader in secure networking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of work experience in related field.
  • Experience with micro segmentation frameworks and tools, providing granular control over east-west traffic and enabling zero-trust security models.
  • Familiarity with network security policies and their integration with SDN solutions, including stateful firewalls, traffic filtering, and segmentation.
  • Strong background in virtualization technologies such as virtual switches, NFV, and network overlays.
