This role supports multiple Coal Combustion Products site project teams through regular site visits, field observations, tracking project progress, vendor interactions, change order evaluations, and project status updates. The successful candidate will demonstrate Subject Matter Expertise in field scheduling for large construction projects and use of Primavera (P6).

Key Responsibilities

  • Incorporate developmental/implementation details into the schedule once contracts are awarded, integrating with other site work activities that impact or are impacted by the project, and define the implementation baseline dates.
  • Maintain and update all field implementation work based on vendor schedule submittals, on-site/vendor communication, or direct monitoring.
  • Develop and maintain the site integrated schedule.
  • Work with Project Teams for Emergent, Strategic, Ash Management, and Demolition projects.
  • Develop and generate project controls routine analytics and communications, including data collection, verification, validation, analysis, and distribution of reports.
  • Lead and perform change control by tracking, managing, and assessing changes to scope, schedule, and cost, ensuring compliance with governance standards and contract terms.
  • Coordinate project controls benchmarking and self-assessment initiatives, identifying improvement opportunities and best practices.
  • Implement systems for creating Work Breakdown Structures, project schedules, cost estimates, cash flow tracking, change control, and communication systems.
  • Collaborate on creating estimates that describe scope, schedule, and cost details, ensuring scope, materials, resources, and risks are addressed.
  • Establish effective relationships with project management and sponsor organizations to support resolution of project controls issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Finance, or Business Administration.
  • Minimum 6 years related work experience.
  • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 6 years of experience, a High School/GED and 10 years related work experience.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with MS Project/MS Office Suite, Business Objects, Passport, Powerplant, Emax, Peoplesoft, schedule analysis software such as Deltek Acumen.
  • Experience tracking project resources and quantities using Primavera or other software.
  • Experience evaluating vendor change orders and time impacts.
  • Knowledge of risk management tools / Monte Carlo analysis.
  • Expertise with project management / project controls concepts / computer applications / analytics.
  • Employee development and oversight experience.
  • Strong collaborative team member.

Qualifications

  • Basic/Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or High School/GED with extensive work experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with project scheduling, vendor interactions, change order evaluation, risk analysis tools.
