Northrop Grumman Space Systems-Launch and Missile Defense Systems is offering an exciting opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer - (G-Tools) to join our team supporting the U.S. missile defense and strategic command systems, based in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program, which is a vital operational system for missile defense operations.
Assist in planning ballistic missile defense operations, monitoring battle progress, and managing connected sensors and weapon systems.
Support the integration and synchronization of autonomous sensors, weapon systems, and operations to enhance performance.
Participate in all system ground and flight tests to verify and demonstrate missile defense capabilities.
Contribute to the development, testing, and integration of software for the C2BMC Global Tools team.

Requirements

Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time to support business needs.
Hands-on experience with Java or C++ software development, testing, or integration.
Completed several computer science courses, including Java and/or C++, Data Structures, Algorithms, Computer Security, and Operating Systems.
Current, active in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application.
Bachelor's Degree in a STEM discipline and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 year with a PhD, or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Nice to Have

Up-to-date experience with developing software and scripting on Linux.
Previous internship as a software engineer.
Experience with Eclipse, Git, Jenkins, Maven, Jira, and Confluence.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM field preferred from an accredited university.
Or a Master's Degree with relevant experience.
Or 1 year of experience with a PhD.
Or 9 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.

Salary range of $100,300.00 - $150,500.00, with potential for overtime, shift differentials, and bonuses.
