Product Innovation Analyst

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, synthesize, and analyze data from various sources such as customer feedback, market research, operational metrics, customer account data, and regulatory reports.
• Identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform product strategy and decision-making.
• Monitor the competitive landscape, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting products and services.
• Develop business cases for potential new products and services using data, market intelligence, and stakeholder feedback, and iterate on these cases to refine assumptions.
• Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track product performance metrics such as customer satisfaction, adoption, revenue, and regulatory compliance.
• Analyze the utility's pricing and tariff structures, assess their alignment with regulatory requirements and market conditions, and provide recommendations for adjustments.
• Segment the utility's customer base based on usage patterns, demographics, and preferences, and develop detailed customer profiles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product, marketing, sales, customer service, and others to support product initiatives.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively through presentations to stakeholders, including senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent work experience.
• 2-6 years of relevant professional experience depending on the analyst level (II, III, or Senior).
• Strong data collection, analysis, and interpretation skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools and software such as Excel, SQL, and Power BI.
• Ability to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
• Excellent communication skills for creating presentations and collaborating with teams.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment and travel up to 25% as needed.

Nice to Have

• Experience with regulatory compliance and industry trends in the utility sector.
• Knowledge of customer segmentation and profiling techniques.
• Experience developing business cases for new products or services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical or business-related field or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 2 years for Analyst II, 4 years for Analyst III, and 6+ years for Senior Analyst in relevant roles.
