About the Role

As a Group Product Manager within Orange Apron Media, you will be focused on developing and coaching your team of Product Managers to become world-class leaders, while also defining the strategic context for your group of connected products. Your role involves ensuring that product roadmaps align with OAM's overall strategy and OKRs, and delivering enterprise products that enhance the customer and associate experience at Home Depot.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and coach a team of 4 Product Managers to grow into world-class product leaders.
  • Define the strategic context for a group of connected products, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy and OKRs.
  • Translate business goals and end user needs into product strategy and communicate priorities to the team and stakeholders.
  • Meet with users and stakeholders to understand processes, pain points, and system waste to improve user experience.
  • Create epics to drive improvements to product vision, features, and back-end systems, adjusting for new business models.
  • Determine the value of anticipated product updates and identify goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product performance.
  • Review recommended solutions and work of the product team to ensure alignment with priorities.
  • Remove roadblocks to ensure timely delivery of products meeting strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Prioritize incoming requests from business partners and stakeholders considering business strategy, product vision, and user needs.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership on product progress.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and coaching to Product Managers.
  • Attract, retain, and develop top talent for a high-performing Product Management team.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support individual development plans.
  • Foster collaboration with engineering, UX, and other teams to drive value and resolve impediments.
  • Advocate for end users and stakeholders by understanding user needs and product impact.
  • Manage cross-functional team and stakeholder expectations, guiding prioritization based on benefits and user experience.
  • Guide junior team members in strategy, analysis, and execution tasks.
  • Participate in learning activities around modern software design and development practices.

Requirements

  • Must be eighteen years of age or older and legally permitted to work in the United States.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in working as a Product Manager in a modern software development enterprise environment and overseeing multiple products.
  • Proficiency in modern software development practices and agile methodologies, including XP principles such as paired programming, test-driven development, and continuous deployment.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, fluid environment with shifting priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence across organizational levels.
  • Experience collaborating within cross-functional, modern software design and development teams.
  • Proficiency in creating, prioritizing, and accepting epics and user stories.
  • Experience conducting user research and testing to understand needs.
  • Ability to identify goals, metrics, and analytics to measure product value.
  • Experience conducting competitive research and analysis.
  • Experience guiding junior team members in Product Management fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in balancing workloads across teams.
  • Active listening skills and ability to manage stakeholder expectations.

Qualifications

  • The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree program or equivalent degree in a related field.
