Product Manager NPI - BMS software (Niagara based offerings)

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Support new product introduction process by coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful launch of new products.
• Support strategies for new product introductions that align with market needs and business goals, providing insights and recommendations based on market research and competitive analysis.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment and integration of new products, facilitating effective communication and resolving issues.
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the NPI process, addressing complex technical issues and ensuring products meet quality and performance standards.
• Support product testing and validation activities to ensure compliance with specifications and regulatory requirements, addressing issues during testing.
• Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure new products are well-positioned in the market and supported with training and materials.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation related to new product introductions and prepare reports on project status, performance metrics, and strategic recommendations.
• Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather feedback on new products and utilize feedback to drive product improvements.
• Proactively identify potential issues during the NPI phase and develop solutions to address them, implementing strategies to prevent future issues.
• Travel up to 25%.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product management, new product introduction, or a related role within the building automation system space.
• Strong thoughtful and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent strategic thinking and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
• Excellent communication and people-oriented skills.

Nice to Have

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
• Experience with Tridium Niagara.
• Experience in a global organization.
• Proven track record of successfully developing and launching offerings.
• Experience in guiding offering management teams.
• Strong market research skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and changing environment.
