Job Description

About the Role

At Uber, we're on a mission to make transportation more accessible, reliable, and effortless for everyone. The Rider Engagement Growth team focuses on increasing engagement among existing riders through habitual use cases like commuting. This presents a significant opportunity to innovate and capture a substantial market segment that solves the needs of millions of commuters every day. As a Product Manager on the team, you'll work on high-potential opportunities in mobility, collaborating cross-functionally to build products that make commuting via Uber seamless and stress-free.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and prioritize product requirements for features that improve the commuter experience—balancing user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
  • Deeply understand rider behavior through user research, data analysis, and experimentation to identify pain points, motivations, and opportunities in the commute journey.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, user research, product marketing, and operations to bring new features and optimizations from idea to launch.
  • Run experiments and A/B tests to measure the impact of product changes on key engagement metrics and iterate quickly based on learnings.
  • Craft compelling product narratives and communicate insights, roadmaps, and progress to leadership and stakeholders—ensuring alignment and buy-in across teams.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of product management experience delivering highly successful and innovative consumer-facing products with your fingerprints all over them. Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
  • Strategic: You can craft a coherent product vision, multi-year strategy, and quarterly roadmap that your team and the business rallies behind.
  • Storytelling: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage cross-functional teams and leadership.
  • Analytical depth: you're experienced in running complex experiments and can deftly dive into data and analysis.
  • UX oriented: You think creatively about how to make products engaging, intuitive, and delightful for users in a memorable way.
  • Research driven: You continuously gather research insights on what consumers need to drive deeper engagement across the Uber platform. You find a way to get the insights and data you need and whip it into an insightful story.
  • Technical chops: You have collaborated with engineers in developing the technical architecture of the products you have built, and are comfortable discussing requirement and scope tradeoffs.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working on products that have a multi-sided marketplace is a strong plus.

Benefits & Perks

  • For all US locations, you will be eligible to participate in Uber's bonus program, and may be offered an equity award & other types of compensation.
  • You will also be eligible for various benefits. More details can be found at the following link https://www.uber.com/careers/benefits.
