About the Role

The Martech Product Management team at REI is seeking a Product Manager for the company's Technical Search Engine Optimization product space. In this role, you will drive the product vision, roadmap, discovery, and delivery for technical SEO from both a commerce and editorial content perspective. You will collaborate with SEO Program Management, Editorial Content teams, digital product teams, solution and domain architects, a technical team, and UX partners. The position involves owning the product vision, articulating the roadmap to stakeholders, and delivering impactful solutions within a fast-paced, growing community committed to the mission of the Co-op.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the capabilities and product roadmap for the SEO & Organic Traffic Acceleration product space, including commerce-based SEO and editorial SEO.
  • Articulates the product vision and translates it into clear requirements for the roadmap.
  • Ties prioritization methods to strategic objectives and broader Co-op goals.
  • Leads a team through discovering how to best solve key opportunities and incorporates stakeholder feedback.
  • Leverages qualitative and quantitative data insights to drive solutions.
  • Advocates effectively for the internal/external customer's point of view from product ideation to delivery.
  • Works daily with cross-functional product and engineering teams to deliver solutions that benefit customers and the business.
  • Manages a technical backlog of Jira stories and facilitates agile ceremonies to ensure ongoing delivery.
  • Drives iterative and agile delivery of new capabilities, features, and services.
  • Communicates and aligns with multiple product teams and stakeholders to achieve common goals.
  • Employs systems thinking and understands current technology concepts, including data value streams and data quality concerns.
  • Assists product teams in recognizing dependencies, removing barriers, and ensuring smooth delivery.
  • Builds solutions addressing business needs, considering operationalization of new capabilities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience managing technical platforms or working on digital consumer products, including 2+ years as a Product Manager or equivalent experience.
  • Specific knowledge regarding Search Engine Optimization.
  • Experience collaborating with engineers, data analysts, solution & domain architects.
  • Experience designing and executing product discovery and optimization for internal tools and users.
  • Technical fluency; ability to understand and discuss technology concepts, schedule trade-offs, and new opportunities.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents, including whitepapers and architectural diagrams, data mapping.
  • Fluency with API design principles and ability to communicate platform benefits from API design choices.
  • Proven record of delivering impactful products/services.
  • Ability to leverage data and insights for informed product decisions.
  • BA/BS in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Strong collaboration skills, adaptability, sound judgment, and effective communication.

Nice to Have

  • Specific knowledge regarding Search Engine Optimization for editorial content.
  • Experience working with omnichannel retailer/systems.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in computer science, engineering, or related disciplines, or equivalent practical experience.
