Job Description

About the Role

The Program Manager is responsible for the successful management of schedule and scope management of multiple projects and/or oversight of major Mil Aero programs at Teradyne's Defense and Aerospace Division. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, understanding contract requirements, producing and managing integrated master schedules, managing change, identifying critical paths, recommending mitigation strategies, escalating issues, and facilitating timely decision-making. The position supports proposal processes, sales activities, and ensures project objectives are achieved while fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement within a high-performance workforce dedicated to defense and aerospace markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the proposal process
  • Support Sales in closing activities
  • Review contract for acceptance
  • Facilitate the creation of project / program schedules
  • Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to execute the plan
  • Integrate various engineering, marketing, applications, and support groups in the initiating, planning, and execution of assigned projects
  • Monitor and close programs/projects to achieve program objectives
  • Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and program objectives
  • Drive proactive corrective action where required
  • Manage scope change control activities and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors
  • Synthesize data and present program overview status to stakeholders
  • Identify critical paths and recommend mitigation paths
  • Demonstrate honesty and integrity
  • Show initiative, accept change, persevere to get results, and pursue continuous improvement
  • Deliver strong business results aligned with Teradyne's strategy and goals

Requirements

  • BS in engineering or related field
  • Eight years of experience in program / project management
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to foster communication between project groups
  • Experience with the Sales Force application
  • Experience cross collaborating with multiple geographic locations
  • Technical background in ATE and Electronics is desired
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
  • MBA in an engineering discipline is desired
