About the Role

The Program Manager is responsible for the successful management of schedule and scope management of multiple projects and/or oversight of major Mil Aero programs at Teradyne's Defense and Aerospace Division. The role involves leading cross-functional teams, understanding contract requirements, producing and managing integrated master schedules, managing change, identifying critical paths, recommending mitigation strategies, escalating issues, and facilitating timely decision-making. The position supports proposal processes, sales activities, and ensures project objectives are achieved while fostering a culture of inclusion, innovation, and continuous improvement within a high-performance workforce dedicated to defense and aerospace markets.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the proposal process
Support Sales in closing activities
Review contract for acceptance
Facilitate the creation of project / program schedules
Identify and coordinate internal and external resources to execute the plan
Integrate various engineering, marketing, applications, and support groups in the initiating, planning, and execution of assigned projects
Monitor and close programs/projects to achieve program objectives
Use industry standard techniques and tools to measure progress against product and program objectives
Drive proactive corrective action where required
Manage scope change control activities and communicate periodic project assessment to sponsors
Synthesize data and present program overview status to stakeholders
Identify critical paths and recommend mitigation paths
Demonstrate honesty and integrity
Show initiative, accept change, persevere to get results, and pursue continuous improvement
Deliver strong business results aligned with Teradyne's strategy and goals

Requirements

BS in engineering or related field
Eight years of experience in program / project management
Excellent organizational and communication skills, including the ability to foster communication between project groups
Experience with the Sales Force application
Experience cross collaborating with multiple geographic locations
Technical background in ATE and Electronics is desired
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred
MBA in an engineering discipline is desired
