About the Role

Guidehouse is seeking a Program/Project Manager to lead a team of 10-20 engineers and cybersecurity resources supporting a federal client's classified network. The role involves overseeing all aspects of the technical environment, including a classified helpdesk, network engineering, security and compliance engineering, endpoint maintenance, and applications support, with a focus on ensuring system availability, security posture, and compliance with DOJ standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and lead a team supporting a classified federal network, including helpdesk, network engineering, security, and applications support.
  • Ensure the operation of all systems to maintain system availability.
  • Maintain the security posture of all program systems and ensure compliance with DOJ standards and policies.
  • Validate hardware and software changes before deployment to production.
  • Produce and maintain comprehensive system documentation.
  • Provide technical support for system incident resolution.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Identify, generate, and document common issues to assist the Helpdesk in first-call resolution.
  • Assess, manage, and eliminate risks related to program schedule and performance.
  • Project short and long-term strategic planning and prepare resource justifications.
  • Set priorities, develop work schedules, monitor progress, and report on goals.
  • Develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for classified IT supporting business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Systems Architects on technical documentation and review deliverables.
  • Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and communicate effectively.
  • Participate in cross-functional IT and non-IT groups to solve problems.
  • Stay current on private cloud capabilities and strategize its use in classified environments.
  • Analyze risks and future impacts of decisions, employing critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Work with senior management to resolve complex issues.
  • Engage in multiple projects from design to deployment and production.
  • Collect requirements, define project scope, and plan deployment.
  • Identify resources, schedule, and create risk mitigation strategies.
  • Plan and schedule project milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversee contractor and subcontractor teams, manage conflicts, and perform team assessments.
  • Identify and resolve project issues efficiently.
  • Design and maintain technical and project documentation.
  • Work with executive staff, commands, and agencies to coordinate efforts.
  • Provide data-driven metrics and analysis to support organizational decision-making.
  • Employ comprehensive project management practices including risk, schedule, cost, quality, change, and resource management.

Requirements

  • An active and maintained Top Secret (TS) security clearance, with the ability to upgrade and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five (5) or more years of experience managing large federal security projects.
  • PMP certification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience supporting classified systems in a 24/7 environment.

Nice to Have

  • Seven (7) or more years of overall professional experience.
  • Master's Degree preferred.
  • Cyber/System Engineering background.
  • Ability to solve problems involving complex situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing requirements.
  • Experience running agile projects.
