About the Role

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a Program Manager to join our Information Technology team at our International Headquarters in Boone, NC. The role involves providing in-house consultation to staff on the effective planning, deployment, and use of technology. It serves as a crucial liaison between the IT department and other ministry teams, with the purpose of advancing the Gospel through technology solutions and organizational support.

Key Responsibilities

Build and manage working relationships between IT and assigned business units or program areas within the organization.
Identify and understand technology needs and drive solutions delivery for assigned areas, with involvement in relevant IT projects from concept to delivery.
Drive collaboration and communication across teams and departments to shape IT solution delivery and business unit IT portfolios.
Manage projects and ensure that IT projects in assigned program areas align with organizational strategic objectives.
Lead business analysis and user acceptance testing activities, as needed, when dedicated resources are not allocated.
Coordinate activities and dependencies across projects to control program timelines and budget.
Utilize project management tools (e.g., Jira) to develop and manage project and/or program plans.
Assess resource requirements of technology projects and recommend staffing options, whether internal or outsourced.
Manage relationships between relevant vendors and internal IT teams.
Provide oversight for the implementation of solutions.
Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and/or five (5) to seven (7) years of related experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including Agile or Waterfall methodologies.
General knowledge of software quality assurance (QA) and ability to facilitate user acceptance testing (UAT).
General knowledge of Project Portfolio Management (PPM) and ability to facilitate project prioritization and portfolio reviews.
General understanding of project management tools such as Jira, Workfront, or similar.
Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships between IT and relevant business units.
Fluency in English (required).
12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); opportunity to complete upon hire.
