About the Role

Qualcomm Government Technologies (QGOV) is a division within Qualcomm that partners with the U.S. Government to bring innovative commercial technologies to the government space. The company is seeking a results-oriented junior Program Manager to manage small projects and support senior Program Managers in managing multiple complex government programs. The role requires a team player, self-starter, with a technical background, capable of managing multiple project schedules and understanding financial, contractual, and technical details. Excellent communication skills are essential for presenting program summaries to diverse audiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support to lead Program Managers to ensure successful program execution.
  • Prepare, maintain, and drive schedules to milestones.
  • Support or lead internal or customer program reviews.
  • Create presentations, write reports, and develop other contract deliverable documents.
  • Lead proposal teams to develop estimates and prepare responses to customer RFPs.
  • Understand the scope, requirements, and interdependencies of assigned programs.
  • Establish regular communications with upper management and stakeholders regarding program status, schedule trends, risk management, mitigation, and recovery actions.
  • Interface with Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement, Mission Development, and other internal groups to accomplish program objectives.
  • Perform duties necessary to ensure successful program execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
  • Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Proven program/project management skills with emphasis on timely delivery.
  • Experience with tracking projects in GANTT charts and/or Agile tools/methodologies such as JIRA, Scrum, or Kanban.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.

Nice to Have

  • A current or recent Top Secret (TS/SI) security clearance.
  • Master's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Program/Project Management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Project and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Hands-on scheduling proficiency using GANTT charts or Agile tools/methodologies.
  • Experience with government contracting and classified government programs.
  • Experience with Confluence, JIRA, and Agile (Scrum and Kanban) methodologies.
  • Experience creating government proposal estimates, cost, and technical volumes.
  • Knowledge of wireless telecommunications and digital signal processing communities.
  • Certifications such as PMP and CSM.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • 2+ years of Program Management or related work experience.
