About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead complex projects with international customers in the Aerospace and Defense industry. The successful candidate will have a strong background in managing cross-functional teams, developing customer relationships, and delivering results-driven solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of the industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex project lifecycles. Additionally, the Program Manager will be responsible for developing a strategy to grow international depot business opportunities, identifying new markets, and expanding existing relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead complex projects with development and delivery to international customers in the Aerospace and Defense sector
  • Work closely with the business development team to identify and pursue new business opportunities, and to develop and execute capture plans
  • Develop and execute a strategy to grow international depot business opportunities, including identifying new markets and customers, expanding existing relationships with current customers, and developing and maintaining a strong network of industry contacts and partners
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to inform business development strategies
  • Lead proposal development efforts, including developing winning proposal strategies and themes, writing and editing proposal content, coordinating with subject matter experts, managing proposal schedules and deadlines, and collaborating with the proposal team
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align business development efforts with company goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and develop executable Statements of Work (SOWs) for proposal pricing
  • Manage cross-functional teams through the development lifecycle, ensuring successful transition into production
  • Understand and manage integrated master schedules and baselines to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Apply Earned Value Management (EVM) principles to track project performance and ensure cost, schedule, and scope are aligned
  • Develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, standards, and company policies
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement

Requirements

  • 5 or more years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field leading complex projects with development and hardware delivery, or 8 or more years of direct experience in absence of a degree
  • Proven experience working with Aerospace and Defense type customers and end-users
  • Familiarity with international business practices and cultural norms
  • The ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams and navigating complex project lifecycles
  • Strong understanding of integrated master schedules and baselines, as well as Earned Value Management principles
  • Ability to develop and manage project plans, resource allocation, and risk management strategies

Nice to Have

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration, or related field)
  • Strong understanding of the level of effort required for engineering design of organic-based Depot support facilities
  • Expertise working with international customers and navigating cultural differences
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and standards (e.g., ITAR, FAR)
  • Experience with project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, SAP)
  • Strong business development and sales skills, with the ability to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic relationships
  • Experience with market analysis and competitive intelligence
  • Professional certification in Program Management (e.g., PMP, PgMP)
