About the Role

The Program Manager - Issue Management role at Hewlett Packard Enterprise involves supporting and leading teams through the engineering development process and implementation of products. The position focuses on managing activities, resources, schedules, and budgets to ensure product completion within scope and time, while working with cross-functional teams and external partners. The role is part of the Engineering & Enablement - Issue Management team, which provides end-to-end issue management for product and process excursions to worldwide factories. This is a hybrid position with an expectation of working approximately two days per week from an HPE office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Address product and process excursions through end-to-end issue management and containment, minimizing customer impact and disruptions to HPE processes.
  • Manage product issues through the containment process, engaging cross-functional team members for root cause analysis, resolution, and recovery.
  • Perform risk analysis with team members and define/implement mitigation and avoidance actions.
  • Implement robust corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of issues identified in excursions and data analysis.
  • Drive product and process improvement projects to enhance customer experience.
  • Drive innovation and integration of new technologies to improve internal processes.
  • Manage and lead programs involving multiple functions and project teams to develop and implement components of a product or service.
  • Develop schedules, critical deliverables, budgets, resource plans, and support requirements for assigned programs.
  • Coordinate activities of project teams and development partners; track progress and adjust schedules and resources as needed.
  • Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to stakeholders; collaborate with management and partners to resolve issues and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.
  • Lead and mentor less-experienced staff members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Management, Quality Management, Engineering, Computer Sciences, or equivalent.
  • 4-6 years of experience in project management or quality-related activities.
  • Project Management experience (PMP/PMI certification preferred).
  • Strong Quality / Lean Six Sigma experience (ASQ or other quality certifications preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; mastery in English and local language.
  • Experience using project planning tools and software to create, manage, and track project results.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience coordinating and directing matrixed teams and resources.
  • Ability to create and manage program schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills at management levels.

Qualifications

  • Educational background in Business Management, Quality Management, Engineering, or Computer Sciences.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience.
  • Project Management certification (PMP/PMI) preferred.
  • Quality certifications such as Lean Six Sigma (ASQ) preferred.
