About the Role

The New York Times's T Brand Studio is a team of writers, strategists, videographers, designers and developers dedicated to creating branded content across The New York Times's advertising department. The Program Manager will partner with sales and creative teams to manage custom content programs from pre-sale to post-sale, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery while maintaining journalistic independence and supporting the company's mission to seek the truth and help people understand the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and Creative teams to manage custom content programs from pre-sale to post-sale, including developing timelines and budgets.
  • Ensure proposed creative concepts can be produced within client-specified timeframes and budgets.
  • Serve as the primary contact between internal teams and clients/agency teams to ensure all deliverables are on track and within scope.
  • Perform final checks and gatekeeping for all deliverables, including writing and editing communications to ensure client understanding.
  • Handle important paperwork by working with Business Affairs to negotiate and sign all terms and conditions before project initiation.
  • Work with Finance to facilitate revenue recognition and expense allocations.

Requirements

  • BS/BA degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of relevant program management experience, preferably within a media organization with collaboration with a sales team.
  • Ability to work with different teams and departments.
  • Experience working face-to-face with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
