About the Role

Asian Health Services, founded in 1974, provides health, social, and advocacy services for all regardless of income, insurance status, immigration status, language, or culture. Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all aspects of grant development and reporting, including monitoring and ensuring completion of grant deliverables.
  • Conduct grants-related needs assessments and research review, and plan corporate, facilities, and special projects as assigned.
  • Seek governmental, foundation, and corporate grant funding opportunities through research, networking, and document review.
  • Work with program staff to identify program needs and develop program/project budgets for grant applications.
  • Write and package grant applications, monitor grant project progress, and provide follow-up as needed.
  • Monitor agency's compliance with contract reporting requirements and prepare progress reports.
  • Respond to inquiries from funding agencies, government agencies, foundations, and community organizations.
  • Assist in developing departmental program plans and analyze internal and external data to identify community needs.
  • Participate in community-based evaluation, research activities, and discussions on health policies.
  • Represent the agency in collaborations, partnerships, and joint activities with partner organizations.
  • Participate in agency-wide activities such as meetings, fundraisers, outreach, and special events.
  • Contribute to quality improvement processes and performance teams to ensure service excellence.

Requirements

  • Four-year college degree in public health, health field, city and regional planning, or related field.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and conceptualize complex public health or health information.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to organize and present information clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to conduct internet research for data collection and needs assessments.
  • Ability to work well with staff, board members, funders, and the public.
  • Bicultural and bilingual in any Asian language.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in grant writing.
  • Health planning experience in a community-based, nonprofit setting.
  • Knowledge of data collection, research techniques, or statistical analysis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health field, city and regional planning, or related field.
