About the Role

The role of Project Coordinator - Brooklyn involves managing projects within the Emergency Department, working with clinical leadership, and supporting departmental initiatives to improve patient experience and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage interdepartmental projects assigned by leadership, including scoping out the project, identifying goals and objectives, and creating project plans that support the initiative.
  • Responsible for managing project progress to ensure critical milestones are met, with authority to hold project participants accountable for their deliverables.
  • Analyze risk and its impact using project management tools and identify alternatives to eliminate or minimize risk.
  • Assist in various patient experience improvement initiatives in the ED by assessing issues and identifying appropriate resolutions based on data analysis and stakeholder interviews.
  • Monitor facilities and interface with various departments to ensure patient-and-family-centric care space.
  • Manage facilities, moves, and upgrades, ensuring new spaces are set up properly, and monitor facilities to support continuous improvement.
  • Anticipate temporary location assignment needs, make regular rounds, and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Work with stakeholders on troubleshooting and implementing project plans for departmental needs, providing recommendations and foreseeing issues.
  • Manage event budgets independently, make spending decisions, and negotiate with vendors for quotes.
  • Assist in ensuring departmental readiness for accrediting agency certification.
  • Manage the department's quality improvement initiatives independently.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders within and outside the department to build and promote positive working relationships.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • At least two years managing projects, logistics, or workflows.
  • Effective communication skills with all levels of the organization.
