About the Role

The Project Coordinator II role at Comtech Telecommunications Corp. involves supporting the integration, testing, and coordination of systems related to Public Safety IT subsystems and NG9-1-1 systems. The position is based in Annapolis, MD; Stoughton, MA; Topsfield, MA; or Seattle, WA, with remote work options. Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the integration and testing of systems & subsystems, managing and coordinating integration efforts between Public Safety IT subsystems and the NG9-1-1 system.
  • Lead technical discussions in integration planning and manage associated action items.
  • Coordinate with project leads and subcontractors to review all required interfaces with the NG9-1-1 system.
  • Analyze data to identify anomalies, trends, and correlate similar data sets.
  • Maintain and monitor project plans, schedules, work hours, budgets, and expenditures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with project stakeholders by providing education, guidance, input, and initiatives to support project work.
  • Develop project reporting dashboards to support project updates and readouts.
  • Facilitate project meetings, take and distribute minutes, and track action items and decisions.
  • Gather status updates on tasks, capture risks, issues, and action items, and update plans and documentation.
  • Monitor tasks and project milestones, taking action to meet deadlines.
  • Escalate project risks and issues and collaborate on solutions.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards.
  • Perform additional project tasks and duties as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in task management and project status reporting.
  • Understanding of 911 call flow.
  • Demonstrated leadership, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and escalate issues appropriately.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Quality orientation with a strong eye for detail.
  • Competency with MS Office Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint.
  • Experience with collaboration-based (social) project management tools is desired.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with collaboration-based (social) project management tools.

Qualifications

  • Four-year college degree or three years of 911 systems experience.
  • Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) experience desired.
  • Two (2) years of project coordination experience on complex projects desired.
