About the Role

BAE Systems is seeking a Project Manager who embraces challenges and is a motivated self-starter. This position will be an integral part of a diverse team of professionals and subject matter experts fulfilling challenging technical requirements for our dynamic customers. The role involves supporting both urgent short duration projects and longer term requirements, with travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations. Key Responsibilities

Coordinates resources for assigned subtasks with Engineering, Acquisition, Production, Testing, and Logistics managers.
Contributes to and develops portions of project plans, including identifying and gathering technical requirements for assigned subtasks.
Reviews the status of work completed against budgets, schedules, and technical requirements.
Prepares status reports, develops work order requests, and reviews drawings, kit lists, test procedures, briefs, and work instructions.
Performs as an onsite manager and customer interface at various CONUS/OCONUS locations, providing Project Management presence during surveys, integration, testing, or fielding efforts.
Conducts Integrated Product Team meetings for assigned tasks.
Develops or assists with the development of project cost estimates.
Initiates corrective actions to support task problems and failures.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree and at least 3 years of related experience or Associate degree and at least 7 years of related experience.
Experience with management of budget, schedule, and scope compliance.
Willingness to relocate or current residence in Southern Maryland.
Ability to coordinate resources across multiple functional areas.
Strong communication and reporting skills.

Nice to Have

Familiarity with military and DoD customer organizations.
Expertise with AV/VTC communications systems.
CAPM or PMP certification.
Experience in Microsoft Office, including Project.

Educational background as specified in requirements (Bachelor's or Associate degree with experience).
