The role of Project Manager- Customer Programs is based in the United States and reports to the Product Marketing Manager in the Power Solutions Business Unit, focusing on managing new product launches and customer programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume overall responsibility for all activities related to the successful launch of new products for the Power Solutions business, including prototype builds, documentation, fixtures, tooling, and final packaging for test engineering and manufacturing.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Product Management, Engineering, Site Operations, and other internal teams to ensure alignment across all phases of front-end customer projects.
  • Facilitate collaboration between cross-functional teams to clarify scope, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Support key customer initiatives in the Datacom segment by managing timelines, deliverables, and communication flow.
  • Serve as a point of contact for updates and responses related to customer-facing programs and technical engagements.
  • Coordinate prototype builds and documentation for New Product Introduction (NPI) success.
  • Ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing, overseeing tooling, test, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Maintain project plans with milestones, risks, and dependencies; track progress and escalate issues as needed.
  • Ensure manufacturing and supply chain readiness by coordinating with site teams, supporting capacity planning and resource allocation.
  • Coordinate and transfer manufacturing processes to production factories in Asia and North America.
  • Identify and mitigate risks early using structured tools and frameworks, developing contingency plans to keep programs on track.
  • Provide clear communication on program status, risks, and needs to stakeholders at all levels, and drive regular updates and alignment meetings.
  • Travel internationally up to 30% as required.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Business, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Fluent in English; bilingual candidates fluent in Mandarin are a plus.
  • Experience in the connector industry; knowledge of server, storage, networking, and data center rack architectures is preferred.
  • Career progression from new product design/development engineering into manufacturing and NPI management is preferred.
  • Exceptional organization, creativity, adaptability, and strong project management skills in a rapidly changing, multi-tasking environment.
  • Good communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, GANTT charts).
  • Ability to work with cross-functional teams globally and willingness to 'roll up your sleeves' to get the job done.

Nice to Have

  • Knowledge of server, storage, networking, and data center rack level architectures.
  • Bilingual in Mandarin.
