Job Description

About the Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing project management or program coordination efforts, with a focus on homelessness service delivery and housing within a large, complex organization or public sector environment. The role involves ensuring effective project execution and establishing relationships with delegate agencies, contributing to the city's initiatives and policies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and coordinate projects related to homelessness service delivery and housing.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with delegate agencies.
  • Participate in the interview process for selecting qualified candidates.
  • Ensure compliance with city policies, laws, and collective bargaining agreements during hiring and project execution.

Requirements

  • Nine (9) years of work experience in project management or program coordination, OR
  • Graduation from an accredited college with an Associate's degree PLUS seven (7) years of project management or program coordination work experience, OR
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's PLUS five (5) years of project management or program coordination work experience, OR
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Master's degree or higher PLUS four (4) years of project management or program coordination work experience.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) or other project management certifications preferred.
  • Ability to complete an interview process and demonstrate relevant experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the field(s) of homelessness service delivery and/or housing.
  • Work experience within a large complex organization and/or public sector.
  • Experience establishing effective relationships with delegate agencies.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 9 years of relevant work experience or equivalent educational background with specified years of experience.
  • Possession of or ability to obtain a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
